Chan Gailey is coming back to the NFL

According to multiple reports , Chan Gailey is coming out of retirement and joining the Miami Dolphins as their offensive coordinator.

Gailey replaces Chad O’Shea, who was fired Monday after one season by head coach Brian Flores.

Gailey will reunite with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is under contract for one more season with the Dolphins. Gailey and Fitzpatrick were together for three seasons in Buffalo and also were together with the Jets in 2015 and ’16.

Gailey, who also was head coach of the Dallas Cowboys and Georgia Tech, was the Dolphins’ offensive coordinator in 2001-02.
