When will the Stephen Thompson vs. Michel Pereira fight?

According to reports from MMA Sucka, the UFC is targeting Thompson vs Pereira for UFC 289, set for June 10th, after both men verbally agreed to the contest. It is currently unknown who will be headlining this event, or where it will be expected to take place.

Thompson, 40, fought against compatriot Kevin Holland at UFC on ESPN 42 in December 2022. In this fight Thompson won by TKO in the fourth round. He has 17 wins and six losses under his belt.

Pereira, 29, faced Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC Fight Night 206 in May 2022. This fight ended with Michel winning by split decision. Pereira has 28 wins and 12 losses under his belt.
